ViSci has forged strategic research and development alliances with the premier research institutions in India to manufacture state-of-the-art instruments. Through appropriate transfer of technology, we have manufactured more than 127 instruments employing indigenous technologies and reliable testing and measurement methods / practices. Our principal research partners are:
ViSci owes its genesis to the Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigarh, when in 1976, the CSIO facilitated the first transfer of technology for the manufacturing of a 31/2 digits Multimeter to ViSci. In the subsequent years, the CSIO has transferred the technology of a Digital Tachometer, Digital Thermometer, Digital Thermocouple Calibrator, Sampling Gun, Micro Hardness Tester, Iodine Value Meter, Oil Spectrophotometer and Digital Cereal Grain Analyzer to ViSci in the last 30 years since her inception.
The CSIO is a premier national research laboratory in the field of instrumentation. This laboratory has been established under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, New Delhi. The CSIO is a national research and development facility with 250 scientists working in the fields of robotics, process instruments, micro-electronics, metallurgy, avionics and computer based instrumentation.
ViSci has established calibration support tie-ups with the ERDC for the calibration of Standard Weights, Humidity, Temperature and other environmental parameters. ERDC is a Government of India, Ministry of Information Technology supported project and is equipped with highly qualified engineers and calibration standards having traceability to National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.
