Ring & Ball apparatus is used to explain the Thermal Expansion.It comprises of a brass Ring fitted on a brass rod with handle and a Ball attached by Chain. When Ball and Ring are at the same temperature, Ball passes through the Ring, but as soon as ball is heated, it no longer passes through the Ring.
